PayPoint won the contract from the Post Office to issue International Driving Permits from April 2024. To meet contract requirements, they needed 600-700 stores to sign up nationwide—ensuring no UK resident was more than 10 miles from an IDP-issuing location.
Their sales team needed to rapidly onboard retailers and demonstrate the commercial opportunity. Retailers needed simple, foolproof guidance to deliver a legally compliant service. And with no existing collateral and a tight deadline, PayPoint needed a complete communications solution fast.

We identified three distinct audiences with different needs.
The sales team needed compelling materials that positioned IDPs as a revenue driver, not administrative burden.
Retailers needed clarity, the service involves specific legal requirements around documents, photos, and eligibility, and any confusion would undermine rollout.
End customers needed confidence about where to go and what to bring. Rather than isolated assets, we saw the opportunity to build an integrated toolkit, carrying the message from initial pitch to successful transaction.
Output
We delivered a complete end-to-end package:
- A comprehensive sales brochure positioning IDPs as a footfall and revenue opportunity
- Customer-facing landing page with eligibility criteria, store finder, and SEO optimisation
- A physical retail kit with step-by-step guides covering the application process and common errors
- Animated explainer video training retailers on document checks and payment processing
Each asset worked together, the landing page drove footfall, the brochure secured sign-ups, and the kit and video equipped stores to deliver from day one.
Outcome
PayPoint launched on schedule in April 2024, meeting their contractual commitment to establish a nationwide IDP network.
The toolkit enabled rapid retailer onboarding whilst ensuring consistent, compliant service delivery.
The landing page now serves as the central customer hub, and hundreds of independent retailers have a new revenue stream—making International Driving Permits accessible for UK drivers heading abroad.
